General Information

Fox Hill Elementary is a vibrant K–5 learning community of about 600 students. Nestled at Fox Hill Drive and Hoover Road on the west side of the district, our school is a place where every student, every day is Connected, Challenged, and Celebrated.

Our mission is to nurture tomorrow’s leaders by creating learning environments that spark innovation, elevate diverse and critical thinking, and inspire growth and achievement for all.

At Fox Hill, kindness is more than a value—it’s our way of being. Our four Be’s—Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be Kind—shape the culture of our school and guide how we support one another.

We know students thrive when academic rigor and social-emotional learning go hand in hand. That’s why we offer engaging, culturally responsive instruction alongside a strong SEL curriculum designed to support the whole child in a diverse and ever-changing world.

Academic & Extracurricular Program Offerings

Fox Hill Elementary offers a wide range of programs designed to support the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs of all students through a proactive and data-driven approach. Our school provides several support opportunities including a high ability cluster model in grades 3–5, robust special education services English as a New Language programming, and dedicated Academic Coaches in math and reading.

Through our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), we deliver targeted instruction—whether intervention or enrichment—to ensure every student is progressing toward their academic goals.

Fox Hill students also enjoy a well-rounded experience, participating weekly in art, technology, physical education, music, and media center. Throughout the year, they have opportunities to take part in musical performances, clubs, and other after-school activities that enrich their learning and build community.

  • As a traditional public school; Fox Hill Elementary has an open enrollment policy and proudly provides high-quality education for all students. We welcome students at any time; however, we encourage families to take advantage of natural transition times to make it easier for the student. Registration information can be found on our district website.

  • Hours of academic operation for Washington Township elementary schools are Monday-Friday, 7:40 am-2:25 pm. For families with students of different educational levels, our middle school hours are 9:30 am-4:25 pm, and our high school hours are 8:35 am-3:25 pm.

  • Through a long-standing partnership with At Your School (AYS), before and after-school care is available at all eight elementary schools. Currently, at Fox Hill, only after-school care is available through AYS. Participants experience a balance of academic and social development opportunities each day. Along with AYS, various after-school clubs and activities are offered at different times throughout the school year. These include art, tutoring, running club, and more!

  • At Fox Hill Elementary, our average class size ranges from 20-25 students.

  • Keeping students safe is paramount at all Washington Township Schools. External doors remain locked, and school resource officers are assigned to each building. Staff and visitors carry a district-issued ID while in our school. Parents must show their ID when picking up their child from school.
