General Information

Fox Hill Elementary serves approximately 580 students in grades K-5 with a racially and ethnically diverse student population comprised of 10 countries and 14 languages. Fox Hill is located off of Fox Hill Drive and Hoover Road on the west side of the district. At Fox Hill, we believe “Kindness is Contagious” and work with our students to demonstrate safe, respectful, responsible, and kind behavior. We know 21st-century scholars require more than just academic skills to be successful. Therefore we provide a social-emotional learning curriculum along with academic lessons that are engaging and culturally responsive to the needs of our diverse community of students.

Academic & Extracurricular Program Offerings

Fox Hill Elementary has several programs to help our students academically and socially, including a self-contained high-ability program for grades 3-5, special education resources for classroom support and self-contained programs, English as a New Language supports, and Academic Coaches for math and reading. Through our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process, we provide targeted instruction to ensure all students are meeting their academic goals and receiving support through interventions and/or enrichment. Fox Hill Elementary students participate weekly in art, technology, Physical Education, music, and Media Center. At various times throughout the school year, students have opportunities to participate in musical performances and after-school activities.

What is Fox Hill Elementary’s enrollment policy?
As a traditional public school; Fox Hill Elementary has an open enrollment policy and proudly provides high-quality education for all students. We welcome students at any time; however, we encourage families to take advantage of natural transition times to make it easier for the student. Registration information can be found on our district website.
What are your standard school day hours?
Hours of academic operation for Washington Township elementary schools are Monday-Friday, 7:40 am-2:25 pm. For families with students of different educational levels, our middle school hours are 9:30 am-4:25 pm, and our high school hours are 8:35 am-3:25 pm.
Does Fox Hill Elementary offer before and after-school care?
Through a long-standing partnership with At Your School (AYS), before and after-school care is available at all eight elementary schools. Currently, at Fox Hill, only after-school care is available through AYS. Participants experience a balance of academic and social development opportunities each day. Along with AYS, various after-school clubs and activities are offered at different times throughout the school year. These include art, tutoring, running club, and more!
What is the average number of students in each classroom?
At Fox Hill Elementary, our average class size ranges from 20-25 students.
What are Fox Hill Elementary’s school safety policies?
Keeping students safe is paramount at all Washington Township Schools. External doors remain locked, and school resource officers are assigned to each building. Staff and visitors carry a district-issued ID while in our school. Parents must show their ID when picking up their child from school.
