Summer Programs

    Students will engage in a variety of artistic practices, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and clay work. This well-rounded experience will provide opportunities to develop skills across different mediums.

    Led by educator Carla Sanford, this evening program is designed to empower students through leadership development, cultural connection, and college and career preparation.

    The purpose of this program is to equip incoming juniors and seniors with the tools they need to succeed in college and beyond. By building essential academic and real-world skills, we’re paving the way for the next generation of leaders. Through access to resources, mentorship, and meaningful experiences, students will gain the confidence and preparation they need to thrive — in school, in their communities, and in their future careers.

    When: May 27 – May 30
    Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    Cost: $30.00 per day or $100/week

    Teen Musical “Triple Threat” Workshop:  Singing, Dancing and Acting

    Each day students will act scenes and monologues , sing songs from popular musical theater shows, learn choreography to musical theater songs, improvise and play theater games.  There will be a daily showcase to show what the actors have learned.  During the week students will learn at least 24 possible audition songs, 4 audition dances and prepare at least 4 scenes or monologues. You may sign up for individual days or for all 4 days. Pizza will be provided on the last day.     Eagles, Falcons and Wildcats all have one thing in common- they grow up to be Panthers! All rising 9th graders need to mark their calendars for July 15-July 18 for PantherQuest. This exciting and engaging event is the best way to ensure you are ready to thrive at North Central. Specific details will be shared closer to the end of the school year for this can’t miss opportunity.

    FalconQuest is a fun filled evening for ALL incoming 6th graders and families to come and tour the building, meet your counselor and administration.  This will also be a great time to walk your schedule and try your locker.

    Wildcat Safari will expand more in depth of what they learned and saw on their 5th grade visit to their Middle School.  It will be an Open House for the new 6th graders and their parents.  There will be a break out session where the parents will meet with Administrators and Department Chairs to talk about their child’s classes.  The students will be given the chance to walk their schedule and try their locker.

    Learning Under the Sun (LUS) is a summer enrichment day camp with an emphasis on STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and math). LUS has been offering fun summer programming for MSDWT students for over 30 years. The program is designed for students ages 9-13 and is led by highly qualified MSDWT elementary and middle school teachers.

    The theme this year is “Science Connects”, emphasizing how STEM intertwines with the world around us.

    The two-week (10-day) camp will offer hands-on learning experiences such as 3D printing, build challenges, coding, animation creations, journaling, and community service. Students will also embark on exciting field trips, which may include visits to Indiana State Parks, a college campus, a county fair, a train ride, geocaching adventures, hands-on design cycle projects, hiking explorations, and MUCH more!
